our mission

TO SUPPORT FAMILIES, SCHOOLS, AND COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY DISASTERS AND IN TIMES OF NEED BY REPLACING ITEMS THEY HAVE LOST, WHILE ALSO OFFERING EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP THEM REBUILD AND RECOVER.

OUR #1 GOAL IS TO PROVIDE COMFORT, SUPPORT, AND HOPE TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST WHEN THEY NEED IT MOST.

OUR WORK

Whether you're a parent, a caregiver, or simply someone who remembers being a child, you know how essential comfort items are for a child’s emotional security. When a child loses their beloved comfort item during a difficult time, we go above and beyond to help. Our dedicated community of volunteers and sleuths on Instagram work tirelessly to track down hard-to-find items. We then send them directly to families, ensuring their child is quickly reunited with their cherished companion – their BFF (Best Furry Friend).  If your family has been affected by a disaster or hardship and needs help replacing comfort items, please click the button below and fill out our request intake form. A member of our team will follow up with you soon.

We also recognize the vital role a school environment plays in a child's emotional well-being and development. That’s why we partner with schools and daycares impacted by disasters to help replace essential supplies, materials, and toys—supporting efforts to rebuild and restore classrooms.

For many children, school is like a second home. Our goal is to help ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and supported in their learning environment.

If your school or daycare needs assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via the form below or email contactus@loststuffyproject.org.
